AMSSM Past President Bert Fields, MD and member Jon Woo, MD were recently featured in an Outside Magazine article regarding women and barefoot running. 

Dr. Fields is Fellowship Director of Sports Medicine at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. His key interests include sports ultrasound, running injuries, diagnosis and management of foot problems and approaches to management of chronic tendinopathy.

Dr. Woo is a sports medicine physician in Seattle and Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Washington School of Medicine. He most recently was faculty with the University of Washington Valley Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Woo also directs a high altitude running camp for elite athletes in Santa Fe, New Mexico
